Feral Cats @ VP

Feral cats are an important part of the ecosystem here at Victoria Palms. They help keep the rodent population down and under control. Rodents, as you may know, can be a nuisance, carriers of disease and can do all kinds of damage to property including, but not limited to, damage to electrical lines, sewer hoses and plumbing, skirting and much more. Maintaining a balanced amount of feral cats in our environment is critical to keeping the rodent population down to an absolute minimum.

Currently, we have a wonderful group of dedicated residents who help control the population of feral cats in the resort. They humanely trap these cats, spayed and neuter them and return them to their environment. They also have one ear snipped so that they may easily identify them. In addition to this, they also remove extra or undesirable cats in a humane way by relocating them far outside the local area.

This group is truly dedicated to the resort and the ethical treatment of these cats and other animals. Periodically, they will solicit donations as well as contribute their own personal funds to ensure the balance of our resort ecosystem. Victoria Palms is proud to support this group of residents.

If you have questions about this process, or want to report a feral cat in your area, please email vpstraycats@gmail.com for more information.
