On Friday, we held a Meet and Greet with the City of Donna Mayor Rick Morales. We had a very good Q&A session where Mayor Morales spoke of his support for Victoria Palms in the past (night club) and how he intends to help us in the future. Some of the items discussed included:
- The lowering of city taxes in 2024
- The increased amount of homestead exemption in 2024
- Management request to help with speeders on Victoria Rd
- New retailers that have come to Donna and those that are coming in 2024
- Water quality
- Drainage issues
We also had a chance to speak to Jose Segura, a Vietnam combat veteran and candidate for City Commissioner place 3, who was able to express his support for our community.
