Resident Notice: Proper Disposal of Adult Diapers

For the health, safety, and comfort of all residents and guests, we ask that adult diapers not be disposed of in the common-area restrooms throughout the resort.

Improper disposal of adult diapers can create significant sanitation concerns, including unpleasant odors, the spread of bacteria, and unsanitary conditions for those using the facilities. These items can also cause maintenance issues and place additional strain on our housekeeping staff.

Please place adult diapers in a sealed bag and dispose of them in the appropriate trash receptacle at your home site whenever possible.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the resort.

Please be advised that routine fire hydrant flushing is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 19th and is expected to continue throughout the day.

During this process, you may experience the following temporary effects:

• Temporary Water Discoloration: Water may appear brown, yellow, or cloudy due to sediment and minerals being stirred up in the water lines. While generally safe, it is not recommended for drinking or doing laundry until it clears.
• Pressure Fluctuations: Residents may notice temporary drops in water pressure at various times throughout the day as crews work in different areas of the resort.
• Delay Laundry: Please wait until your water is completely clear before washing clothes, as discolored water may stain fabrics.

After Flushing Is Complete

A Rave Notification will be sent once the hydrant flushing has been completed. At that time, residents should complete the following steps at their unit:

• Run Cold Water: If your water appears discolored, run a cold water faucet or bathtub spout for several minutes until the water runs clear.
• Once the water is clear, normal water use may resume.

Please consider taking the following precautions:

☔ Secure or bring inside outdoor furniture, decorations, and loose items.
🚗 Move vehicles to higher ground if you are in an area that may be prone to flooding.
🪴 Check patios, porches, and outdoor areas and secure anything that could be moved by strong winds or water.
💧 Keep storm drains and drainage areas near your home clear of leaves and debris.
🔦 Have flashlights, batteries, medications, and other essential items readily available in case of power interruptions.
📱 Monitor local weather alerts and emergency notifications throughout the week.

Please avoid driving or walking through flooded areas. Turn around—don’t risk it.

Peak season is here!

With peak season upon us, it’s time to make sure all recurring daily activities are posted on the activity board. If you didn’t get a chance last year to post your event on the board in the lobby, please contact the Activity Office with details of your recurring daily activity only and we will be happy to get your signs made up.

Let’s make sure everyone knows what’s happening at Victoria Palms and can enjoy all the activities our community has to offer.
