The USPS has not delivered mail and packages yet today. They continue to have staffing issues that are affecting delivery. Please be advised that this will, in turn, affect distribution to your boxes. Thank you for your patience while we await delivery.

After a delay due to the recent storms, palm tree trimming has resumed. Please be cautious when driving around the resort and watch for falling palm bark. This project will take approx 3 weeks to complete, barring any more delays.

I am happy to report that we have replaced the water fountain at the pool area (outside the billiards room) and upgraded it to now include a water bottle filler! You will now be able to fill your water bottle with fresh, cool water. If you haven’t seen it yet, come check it out!

Good morning all!

It’s been a rough couple of weeks with storms that popped up sporadically during that time, but it looks like we have a great week coming up. Weather forecasts predict a sunny and beautiful week with possible showers on Tuesday. We encourage you to get out and enjoy this weather!

Mowing and Landscaping:

Thank you to all of you who mowed your lawns this weekend… all that extra rain of the past couple weeks has caused some major growth throughout the park. We did not place courtesy calls last week due to the consistent rains and we understand that mowing was difficult during that time. For those who are not currently in the resort and are having someone do your lawns for you, please consider getting this done as soon as possible so that we may all enjoy (to the fullest) the beauty that is Victoria Palms. Please don’t forget the weeds in plant beds and rock yards. This should also help control the mosquito population as well.

Asphalt work on Donna St:

Please be advised, street repair work will begin again on Donna St today, 7/12. The work should be complete in the next couple of days, barring any weather delays. Please proceed with caution when in the area. Thank you for your patience while we complete these much needed repairs.

Chair lift at the main pool:

Please be advised, the chair lift in the main pool is inoperable. Repair work has been attempted, but unsuccessful. We will replace the control box as soon as we receive the replacement for it.

Mosquito spraying in the resort:

Management has already reached out to the City of Donna to come to the resort to spray for mosquitos again. We expect them to complete this within the next week, however we also encourage residents to give them a call. Historically, we have found that the more calls they get from us, the faster they get the job done. The phone number to the City of Donna Public Works Dept is 956-464-6960. Please let them know you live at Victoria Palms and you are requesting mosquitoes spraying in and around the resort.

Also, here as some tips for how to minimize mosquitoes around your home. If you are not currently in the resort, please consider passing this information along to whoever is responsible for maintaining your lawn. Together, we can help minimize mosquitoes in the resort.

Just a few reminders for the holiday weekend…

All resort offices will be closed Monday, July 5th. Trash pickup will be postponed until Tuesday July 6th and the window will be closed for package pickup in the mailroom, as the USPS will not be delivering mail for the holiday.

Friendly reminder that tomorrow is the last day to submit your requests for your palm trees to be cut. Our staff has begun trimming the shorter ones and the rest will be assigned to the contractor. Just a friendly reminder…

I think we can all agree that vendors who do business in the resort are expected to follow the rules of the resort and act in a professional manner. I think we can all further agree that being allowed to conduct business in the resort is a privilege, not a right. That being said, if any vendor harrasses a resident, guest or staff member, they will be asked to cease and desist doing business in the resort. This includes, but is not limited to physical or verbal abuse, slander or libel. This includes all type of vendors – from professional companies to local handymen. The safety and well-being of residents and staff are paramount to an enjoyable environment for all. Please report any incidents of harassment to management immediately. Thank you.

Howdy folks!

In anticipation of this years palm tree trimming, we would like to make the process as simple and efficient as possible. With this in mind, we will try something new this year. If you would like your palm tree trimmed, and it has not been done in previous years, please send in your request via email to victoriapalms@equitylifestyle.com. Please include the following info:

• Your site number
• Location of the palm tree on your site (please mark if necessary)
• A picture of the palm tree you would like trimmed (if possible)

We will then determine if the resort staff can trim it themselves or if we will assign it to the contractor. The idea is to have all of this info prepared and ready ahead of time so that they can be trimmed in a timely manner. With that in mind, we ask that you please submit your request no later than Friday, July 2nd.

Our annual palm tree trimming begins on Monday, July 5th, barring any weather delays.

2nd reminder:  Work continues this coming weekend on the flooring in the mailroom. The mailroom will be closed from Friday June 25th @3:30pm through the weekend. Those who have an interior mailbox will not have access to their mail during this time. Please do not enter the mailroom lobby area.
