Street work – Corner of Donna and London

Please be advised, contractors will be on site tomorrow, March 23 to repair a large section of the street at the corner of Donna and London. This work should take approximately two days. Please avoid this area if possible, but if you must drive past this area please proceed with caution.

Thank you and stay safe!

Pool area updates 3.22.21

Good morning and Happy Monday! It looks like the start of a beautiful week! Please be advised that contractors will be on site and the canopies in the pool area cabana areas will be removed. The frames will also be painted and left to dry overnight, and new canopies are scheduled to be installed tomorrow. We will NOT be closing the pool, but please be mindful of wet paint on the frames and workers moving in and out of the area.

Thank you and have a great week!

End of Season Reminders

As we come closer and closer to the end of our season, we wanted to remind all of our wonderful residents who may departing the resort for the off-season of a few important things…

  • Please inform the main office of your departure, particularly if you need billing or contact info changes.
  • Please contact the US Postal service to forward your mail as needed and leave a sufficient amount of mail forwarding labels at the mail center, as it can take weeks for the USPS to update service changes.
  • Please remember to shut off all utilities to your sites, such as water and/or electric. Nobody wants an unexpected utility bill while they are away from home and the resort is not authorized to monitor or shut these off for you. If you see an unusual amount of utility usage while you are away, please contact a plumber or electrician to diagnose the problem.
  • Please make sure to make arrangements for your lawns to be cut and/or personal landscaping accents to be maintained while you are away. This is a requirement listed in our handbooks and in accordance with your lease, penalty fees can be assessed if a site is found in violation. Please also remind contractors not to leave brush piles in the street, but rather at the end of your driveway to allow for proper drain flow.
  • Please secure all loose items on your site. This is not only a good security practice, but also helps keep others safe in the event of high winds or other natural disasters where loose objects could become airborne and damage property or cause injury to others.
  • For those residents who still have driveway ramps, please make sure to lift them up and away from the curbs so that water can properly drain down the streets and out of the resort.

Thank you to everyone for doing their part to help keep Victoria Palms the most beautiful resort in the Valley!

Friendly Spring Break Reminder

As we begin another beautiful day at Victoria Palms, we want to take a moment to remind all those residents who may have family visiting in the resort of the rules regarding children.

  • All persons under the age of 18 must be under resident supervision at all times while in the Resort, particularly in the swimming pool areas and outdoor sport courts as well as certain indoor amenities like the billiards room.
  • Visiting children may not play in the streets or in other residents yards.
  • Absolutely no bikes, skates or skateboards are allowed around the swimming pools or sport courts.
  • No one under 18 may use the hot tubs, even with adult supervision.
  • Children are not allowed to drive golf carts. Only adults 18 yrs or older with a valid driver’s license are allowed to drive in the Resort.

Please contact the Main Office or refer to the Resort handbook if you have further questions. Please keep in mind that these guidelines have been established for the safety of all in the park and, like most of the content in the handbook, have come directly from resident feedback.

Thank you for keeping your friends and neighbors safe and have an outstanding day!

Gate update 3.10.21

We are happy to report that the East Gates located on Sherwood and Kingston (also known as the rear gates) will be available for use again effective tomorrow, March 11th by 9am. Residents with remote controls (aka clickers) will now be able to enter and exit through these gates. For safety and security purposes, please do not use your clickers to allow visitors, guests or contractors into the resort but instead direct them to enter through the main gate so they can be accounted for and receive a pass for their vehicle.

Thank you and we hope you enjoy the rest of the season!

Mail Room update 3.10.21

It has come to our attention that there have been some concerns about the recent mail situations here in the Resort.  We would like to take a moment to clarify a few details and hopefully ease some of those concerns.

During the week of the freeze, Feb 15th through the 19th, mail service was delayed by the post office. For three days, no mail arrived in the Resort.  Also during this week, both mailroom employees resigned.  Staff members from other departments stepped in to handle the duties.  The majority of mail was delivered to the resort the following week starting on the 22nd.  This included most of the previous weeks mail as well as that current weeks mail.  Along with the sheer amount of mail there was to catch up with, there was also the usual issues that cause delays such as no lot number or incorrect lot number, name does not match the lot number on the package, etc. The staff continued to work through this challenge, as every day more mail arrived.  Packages were sorted and available and all mail was caught up by the end of that week.

A new permanent mail room staff member was added the following week on March 4th and has been training alongside a current staff member ever since.

I hope that this clears up any misconceptions about mail service here at Victoria Palms and we ask that you please join us in welcoming Joanna P, our new Mail Room clerk, to the team. Please see the pics below to see what the mailroom currently looks like.

Friendly reminder for today’s End of Season party

Registration for today’s event was from Feb 26th to March 5th to allow for proper meal orders from our food truck vendors. The Activity Dept issued tickets daily as registrations were received. The registration box was available until the morning of March 8th, just in case any last minute registrations were received. As of Tuesday March 9th, all registrations were accounted for and all tickets have been distributed.

If you do not have tickets, you can still enter the event and enjoy the music, however you will be asked to wait until all ticketed residents have received their food and only while supplies last. Please remember to follow all social distance protocols and wear a mask whenever you are within 6 ft of someone who does not live in your household.

We look forward to a great event with great food, great music and great weather!

You will see everything from fun activity announcements to general park announcements and even emergency information when necessary. Swift911 (SwiftReach)This is our parkwide notification system for emergency announcements. Water shutoffs, power outages or other emergency-related notifications will be sent via this method. This is a comprehensive system that gives you the option of receiving a text, voice call or email – whichever you prefer. Mail BoxesResident mailboxes are generally used to distribute information that is not necessarily time-sensitive. These may be used to communicate resort policy updates, instructions for activities and games, distribution of event tickets and other non-emergency related information. With hundreds of active boxes to fill, time-sensitive and/or emergency information is not typically put in resident mailboxes.

Other social media sites and webpages – Many resident-led Facebook pages, websites and other social media outlets related to Victoria Palms exist online. And while Victoria Palms Resort is not responsible for the content of these sites, we encourage residents with similar interests to communicate with each other.

We hope that you choose to take advantage of these communication tools so you can enjoy the Victoria Palms experience to the fullest!
