Please note that per US Flag Code, the American flag should be lowered to half-staff immediately to honor the life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter, who passed away at the age of 100. Section 7 of the Code states that “The flag shall be flown at half-staff 30 days from the death of the President or a former President.” Accordingly, flags are to be lowered until sunset on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Flags should be flown at full height on Wednesday, January 29.
The VP flag by the activity center cannot be flown at half-staff due to its size and palm trees in that area. Therefore is removed until Jan. 29th to honor President J. Carter. Thank you
