Call to action… your fellow residents need your help.

To all residents of Victoria Palms Resort:

As many of you may already know, there has been discussion recently on our social media pages about how the City of Donna is considering issuing a Conditional Use permit and Late Night License to the night club at the southeast corner of the Resort. Historically, this has been problematic for many of our residents, particularly in that section of the resort.

There is a meeting at City Hall today (Planning and Zoning Committee) and tomorrow (City Council) where the public can voice their concerns regarding the possible approval of these permits and licenses. The meetings will be held at 5:30 pm (please be there at least 30 mins before) at Donna City Hall, located at 307 S 12th St here in Donna. We are asking any and all residents who can be in attendance for both meetings to please show up. The agenda item in question is:

Conditional Use Permit and Late Night Hours License to Shahzado Waqar, dba Blaze Bar and Grill, located at 3708 E Business 83 in Donna TX 78537.

In addition to this we ask that residents call and email their concerns as well. Please see the info below for the appropriate places to phone and email your concerns.

Thank you.

Friendly reminders about mowing, site improvements, handymen and contractors, DIY projects, etc

Mowing:

Thank you to all of you who mowed your lawns recently … all that extra rain over the holiday will likely excess growth throughout the park. If you have not had a chance to mow yet or if you are having someone doing your lawn for you, please consider getting this done as soon as possible so that we may all enjoy, to the fullest, the beauty that is Victoria Palms. Please don’t forget to spray the weeds in your plant beds and rock yards. This also helps to control the mosquito population.

Site Improvements:

Please remember that all site improvements, including exterior modifications to your homes, must be approved by management prior to commencing your project. Please click the link below for the required site modification form. https://vpractivities.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/vp-site-modification-form.pdf

Handymen and/or professional contractors:

When hiring a handyman or professional contractor to do any kind of work on your lot, please be sure to communicate that they must haul off any and all debris related to their work. There have been instances where we have found construction materials, old water heaters and other debris left in the Craft Center parking lot, stuffed in recycling containers and left on the side of the trash compactor and even on empty lots. This diminishes the beauty and ambiance of the resort and is strictly prohibited. Those who are found doing so will not be allowed to do business in the resort in the future.

DIY projects and home improvements:

We have many talented and experienced residents who choose to do home and site improvement projects on their own. We applaud your abilities and ask that you also haul off any debris or materials related to your improvements, as these will NOT be picked up by maintenance staff.

Please refer to your resort handbook or email victoriapalms@equitylifestyle.com if you have any questions.
