On Friday, we held a Meet and Greet with the City of Donna Mayor Rick Morales. We had a very good Q&A session where Mayor Morales spoke of his support for Victoria Palms in the past (night club) and how he intends to help us in the future. Some of the items discussed included:

• The lowering of city taxes in 2024
• The increased amount of homestead exemption in 2024
• Management request to help with speeders on Victoria Rd
• New retailers that have come to Donna and those that are coming in 2024
• Water quality
• Drainage issues

We also had a chance to speak to Jose Segura, a Vietnam combat veteran and candidate for City Commissioner place 3, who was able to express his support for our community.

Hey folks! Just a reminder as many of our residents begin returning to the resort…

Any modifications to the site, including work done on your home, need to be reported and approved. It is crucial that we know what work is being done and by whom (even if it is DIY)

Please be sure to turn in your site modifications forms BEFORE work begins.

Once again another reminder about the Red Fish recycling containers…

Please do not put regular household trash in the RedFish recycling bins. It is against our written policy. Doing so has resulted in the driver removing trash and leaving it on the ground (looks bad and unsafe) or refusal of pickup altogether. If these violations continue we will be forced to suspend recycling at VP. Please help us to keep to keep Victoria Palms beautiful.

Recycling Update

The Fall Acoustic Jam has moved to the Craft Center Texas Room! Monday 2-4pm

Please be advised, a dumpster has been placed near the pool area. This is for the use of the contractor only and is not intended for household garbage or contractor refuse. Please do not use it as such.

As was previously announced, we will be undergoing a pool resurfacing renovation beginning today and last approximately 4-6 weeks. During this time, the resort pool area will be closed while the work is being completed. Please do not enter the fenced pool area while this renovation is underway.

We have secured two alternatives for those who wish to enjoy pool activities while this project is taking place…

• Option 1: Our sister property, Alamo Palms, has been gracious enough to offer their newly-renovated pool facilities for our use. They are located just a couple exits down the highway at 1341 W Business 83 in Alamo. Please be sure to notify them that you are a resident of VP while you are there. We ask that you please observe all posted rules and policies while using their facilities.
• Option 2: Hotel management has been gracious enough to offer the newly-renovated hotel pool as another option. Please note that their hours are slightly different than ours and, being an all-age pool, have slightly different rules as well. We ask that you observe their rules as posted.

We hope you enjoy the finished product of this renovation and we look forward to a fantastic season at Victoria Palms!

Melvin Ellis will be performing solo for the Sip N’ Dip today from 3-5pm.

A pair of motorcycle gloves were turned in to the activity office. They were found on the corner of London & Sheffield. It was observed that the gloves fell out of the helmet as the rider was putting the helmet on, but rode away before the witness could reach the rider. A description of the gloves will be required to validate ownership.

If anyone can identify the owner of this vehicle, please contact the main office or email jesus_ramirez@equitylifestyle.com. As per resort policy, if we are unable to identify it by Friday, Oct 13th, it will be removed from the resort at the owner’s expense. Thank you.

The pool will be closing Thursday afternoon to begin the resurfacing renovations and VP thought it would be a fun idea to host a doggie dip before the closure! 😀 If you’re interested in participating, come by the activity office and sign up.

Friendly Reminder: Due to the Columbus Day Holiday, the US Postal Service will not be in operation today and thus, the mailroom will be closed. Normal hours will resume tomorrow, 10/10.

Hello all!

We have received questions in regarding ownership of the hotel, ballroom activities etc. and want to take a moment to clarify these questions.

The hotel, as well as all of the outlets (meeting rooms, ballroom, restaurant, etc.), remain the property of ELS. We have put a lot of work into improving the facilities for the enjoyment of the residents and expect to complete even more improvements in 2024.

We look forward to seeing you this season and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed facilities!

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to support the cause, I would like to invite everyone at Victoria Palms to wear some form of pink each Friday of the month, whether it’s a shirt, socks, nail polish (ladies, a good excuse to get your nails done! ) or a ribbon.
