Rainy Season Reminders

After a summer of drought we have finally had some good rains recently. With that comes the need to mow our lawns and weed our rock lawns and gardens more often then we’ve had to as of late. As has been mentioned on the blog previously, as well as in your handbooks, please make sure you (or your mowers) are keeping up with your site.

We highly suggest mowing at least twice a month (or once every two weeks). Please don’t forget to spray the weeds in your plant beds and rock yards. This also helps to control the mosquito population.

This is just a friendly reminder that we all share a responsibility to keep our lawns and home sites maintained throughout the year. Management will continue to review home sites for compliance and courtesy calls will be placed if your site is in need of attention. This is primarily accomplished via regular drives and also at resident request. In accordance with your lease, non-compliance will result in additional fees on your monthly bill.

The vast majority of residents have been doing a wonderful job of keeping up with their sites and we all thank you for your efforts!

Picture ID’s for Annuals

Happy Monday folks!

For annual lease holders, Picture ID’s are available now and picture sessions will be scheduled by appointment only. If you are a new resident and need to get one, or if you are an existing resident who simply needs yours replaced, please call the office to schedule your picture session.

ID tags are required to attend most activities and events (especially in season) and are a great way to meet people from around the country. If you do not have one, or yours is in bad condition, please consider getting yours soon.

Once again, this is for annual lease holders only. Seasonal guests and renters get their own form of ID upon check in.

Thank you and have a great week!

Severe weather warning this weekend

Please be advised, local weather stations are reporting the possibility of severe rains and wind gusts this evening and into tomorrow morning.

Please secure loose items that can be blown or washed away, as these could become projectiles that can hurt others or cause property damage.

Please consider fueling your vehicles and preparing for possible power outages by preparing generators, fully charging phones and back-up batteries.

Please report life threatening emergencies by calling 911 first. All other emergency situations like flooding, pipe breaks etc please contact the gate staff at 956-532-5832. On call staff will respond as soon as they can safely do so. Social media is not monitored 24/7 so please do not attempt to report issues there as they may not be seen by emergency staff.

Please monitor weather via local news stations for the most up to date info.

Thank you and stay safe this weekend!

Back to School Drive

Victoria Palms Inns & Suites would like to say, “Thank You!” to all of the Victoria Palms Residents that contributed to this year’s, “School Supplies Drive”. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will help the City of Donna Independent School District to assist young children and families in need.

Gate policy and unauthorized visitors

Happy Friday everyone! This is a friendly reminder that all non-residents MUST enter the resort through the main gate on Victoria Rd. Visitors and contractors receive hang tag passes so that they are accounted for and so that non-authorized persons are easily identifiable.

It is the policy of the resort that all non-residents who enter the resort must enter through the main gate for proper accounting for by gate staff. Circumventing this process negates the effectiveness of the resort to manage this kind of traffic. We understand that there are times when vendors, delivery drivers etc attempt to enter via the hotel side of the property. Please direct them to come back around to the main entrance.

For the safety and security of all residents, please DO NOT let friends, contractors etc through the east gates into the resort. This creates a possible security risk and unaccounted for persons in the resort. In accordance with your leases, residents who are found to be violating this policy will be fined a non-compliance fee for each instance. Please help us help you to keep this a wonderful and safe resort. Thank you.

Partial Power Outage in the Resort

We are currently experiencing a partial power outage in the resort. The cable and internet for the entire resort is also affected by this outage. Areas like the Craft Center and White House still have power if needed. AEP estimates a service restoration time of approximately 8pm.

Please contact AEP at 866-223-8508 to report an outage at your site and for further updates. Thank you for your patience while AEP works to restore service.
