Friendly reminder on June 1st VP will not have a gate attendant. For your safety we will be changing VENDOR CODES on the 15th of each month for the gate.
GATE REMOTES will be deactivated Thursday May 22, 2025 @9am. Please start to drop off remotes into the office NO LATER than Wednesday May 21, 2025 for reprogramming. Moving forward the remotes will be updated quarterly to prevent non residents access into the resort.
WALKTHROUGH GATES will also be changed, this will be on Tuesday May 20, 2025 and updated quarterly. Please stop by the front office before Tuesday for updated information.

Concessions will be serving the usual snack items, along with nachos and ice cream drumsticks at today’s Happy Hour with Driftin’ Cowboy from 3-5pm @ the Ballroom. We will not be serving hot dogs.
2 square boxes of teeth whitening strips in a plastic bag were turned in to the Activity Office. A description of the item will be required to authenticate ownership.

The street sweeper broke down on Friday. Contractors will continue today Monday, May 12 , and tomorrow to finish up the roads.
Mowers will be in this afternoon to start the mowing. Mowing should take approximately 1 1/2 days to complete.

…A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN HIDALGO COUNTY…
At 718 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over San Carlos
Elementary School, or near Edinburg, moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD…Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include…
Edinburg Regional Medical Center, Austin Middle School, Augusto
Guerra Elementary School, Buckner Elementary School, P S J A North
High School, Weslaco Mid Valley Airport, Lincoln School, Edcouch,
Gibson Park, and Audie Murphy Middle School.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
windows.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roads.

Water will be shut off today at 10am for approximately 2 hours. This will affect sites 3000 to 3319, sites 3490 to 3518 and the laundry building. Thank you for your patience while this repair is completed.

Contractor for street sweeper has had his team picking up dirt and rock from the canals and curbs of the streets. He has fallen behind but stated that they should be completed with this part of the work today Friday 5-2. Sweeper will be in Monday or Tuesday.
