The flooring projects in both the Main Office and the Activity Center continue. The Main Office will continue to be closed through the remainder of this week, however limited office services are still available in the Mail Room during this time. Please be advised, the Main Office will be unavailable Monday, June 20 through Wednesday, June 22nd for the flooring upgrade project that is currently underway in the resort. On those days, office AND mail/package services will be available in the mailroom from 10am to 3pm.

No Print Delivery on Monday June 20th

Dear Victoria Palms Residents, Per WSJ, we will not receive a print paper on Monday, June 20th in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day, a U.S. Federal Holiday. The print delivery will resume on Tuesday, June 21st. Thank you for your loyal readership, Victoria Palms Resort and The Wall Street Journal

Please be advised, police entered the resort at approximately 12:40pm while in pursuit of a criminal on foot. He jumped the fence near 3340 but was promptly captured within seconds and was removed from the resort.

Please be advised the USPS has still not delivered mail and packages today. This will affect sorting and availability of your mail and packages. Every effort will be made to have all packages sorted and ready as soon as possible… Please be patient with mail staff as they can’t sort what they don’t have.

Please be advised, the Activity Center will be closed this week and through the weekend due to the floor renovation. Much of the old flooring has already been pulled up. Please do not enter the building during this time as various chemicals and adhesives will be on the floor and workers will be laying tile during this process. The Activities Office will be completed sometime next week.

For those who are using the gym, access is still available via the exterior door.

Major renovation underway!

Please be advised, the palm trees in the pool area will be trimmed next week on the morning of Monday, June 6th at approximately 8:30am. This typically only takes a day or two to complete. We do not recommend usage of the pool during this time, as falling palms and debris could be a safety hazard. Please also be cautious in the general vicinity of the pool during this time as well. The remainder of the palms in the resort will be trimmed in July.

Thank you for your patience while we complete this project.

Prep work has begun today for a major renovation project in the Activity Center Building. Most of the flooring will be replaced and the old flooring will be removed and replaced with new ceramic tile, with rich brown wood grain pattern. Here are the areas that will get new flooring, in the expected order that they will be completed:

• VP Restaurant (currently closed for the off season)
• Activity Lobby
• Library
• Both Activity Offices
• Large Card Room
• Small Card room
• Billiards Room
• Poker Room

The flooring in the Main Office lobby will also be replaced and will be mixed in during this process (dates TBD). The entire project is expected to take 6 – 8 weeks. The contractors will do their best to expedite this process, including working some weekends.

Please expect periodic closures of these areas over the course of this renovation. A roll-off dumpster will be placed in the parking lot during the course of this renovation and may be relocated as the project progresses – this is solely for usage by the contractors.
