Today, we give thanks for our wonderful resort staff and all of the hard work that they do. Please be advised, all offices – including the mailroom window – will be closed from 11:30am to 1pm for our annual staff Thanksgiving luncheon.
We will reopen immediately afterwards.
Here are just a few notes about trash and recycling as we ramp up for the 2024 season…
Curbside Trash Pickups are on Mondays – We have not changed any pickup schedules. More information coming soon.
As was previously announced here, https://vpractivities.com/2022/06/27/recycling-update/ , this is just another reminder:
Glass and styrofoam are no longer accepted for recycling and should NOT be dropped off by the restaurant.
All cardboard should be recycled using the RedFish containers only – located at the SouthEast corner of the resort by the Craft Center. Please do not dump cardboard boxes by the restaurant.
Please DO NOT throw household trash, building material or anything else not listed into the RedFish containers themselves. There are easy-to-read picture graphics on the containers as to what is acceptable to recycle there. We continue to have issues with this.
Trash and materials produced by contractors, DIY’ers, caretakers, etc should be hauled off property within 24 hours, as per policy. Please take this into account BEFORE starting your renovation/improvement projects. You are responsible for making sure this is completed.

Some band members from “About Time” will not be in attendance for the Nov. 22nd Happy Hour. Melvin Ellis (lead vocalist and guitar player) and Jimmy Lovern (bass player) will be performing as a duo, “Ellis and Lovern”.

In observance of the Veteran’s Day holiday, all resort offices – including the mailroom window – will be closed on Friday November 10th. We will return to normal hours on Monday, November 13th.

The security of our residents has long been a focus here at Victoria Palms and we are happy to implement requests to that end. Please be advised that the new pedestrian gates have been installed and ready for use. These are wide enough for a standard size golf cart to pass through, however please note that these are self closing gates. Please proceed with caution when passing through.
The pin code is the same one as listed for the main entrance gate and is available on the latest access code information sheet. Please refer to your welcome packets for this info. Residents may also contact the front office for this information. Please DO NOT share this information with non-residents or on social media. We also ask that you please do not prop, tie or impede the gates from closing as this is a violation of resort security policies listed in your leases and handbooks. Seasonal hotel guests found to be doing this will forfeit their resort privileges.
