New pedestrian gates ready for use!

Good morning!

The security of our residents has long been a focus here at Victoria Palms and we are happy to implement requests to that end. Please be advised that the new pedestrian gates have been installed and ready for use. These are wide enough for a standard size golf cart to pass through, however please note that these are self closing gates. Please proceed with caution when passing through.

The pin code is the same one as listed for the main entrance gate and is available on the latest access code information sheet. Please refer to your welcome packets for this info. Residents may also contact the front office for this information. Please DO NOT share this information with non-residents or on social media. More info here: https://vpractivities.com/2022/08/12/gate-policy-and-unauthorized-visitors/

We also ask that you please do not prop, tie or impede the gates from closing as this is a violation of resort security policies listed in your leases and handbooks. Seasonal hotel guests found to be doing this will forfeit their resort privileges.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve the quality of your experience here at Victoria Palms!

Pool update!

Great news folks! The first phase of the pool renovation project is near completion and will be reopened soon! Please keep an eye out for that announcement…

The pool and spas have been plastered with a nice textured finish and a more modern color-coordinated tile pattern. For our residents with mobility issues, a handrail has been relocated to create a dual handrail entrance at the main entry point of the pool.

Important note: Although you may see the pool and spas refilled, please do not enter until the announcement has been made, as we will still need to balance the chemicals and allow time for the temperature to reach the desired level.

The next phase will include replacement of the light poles, but will not likely require closure of the pool area. We expect this to occur in the next few weeks.

Thank you for your patience while we have made all of these renovations and upgrades as we continue to reinvest in the resort.

Speeding reminder

Friendly Reminder: The streets in Victoria Pams are multi-use. Many of your friends and neighbors walk or bike throughout the resort.

Please be considerate of everyone’s safety and monitor your speed while driving in the resort. This goes for your contractors too, so please remind them while they are working in the resort.

The speed limits are 10 mph or 15 mph, depending on area and street. Signs are posted and painted on the streets. Remember, only you can prevent speed bumps!

Thank you!

Meet the Mayor recap

On Friday, we held a Meet and Greet with the City of Donna Mayor Rick Morales. We had a very good Q&A session where Mayor Morales spoke of his support for Victoria Palms in the past (night club) and how he intends to help us in the future. Some of the items discussed included:

  • The lowering of city taxes in 2024
  • The increased amount of homestead exemption in 2024
  • Management request to help with speeders on Victoria Rd
  • New retailers that have come to Donna and those that are coming in 2024
  • Water quality
  • Drainage issues

We also had a chance to speak to Jose Segura, a Vietnam combat veteran and candidate for City Commissioner place 3, who was able to express his support for our community.

If you are eligible to vote, please consider doing so. Every vote counts and the Mayor needs your support. Early voting begins today from 7am to 7pm at :
